After retiring in 1998 my husband and I moved to Mariposa. Since childhood I have always had a desire to create in all types of mediums. From sewing my own clothes, to craft projects, tole painting and now, fine art. Eight years ago I started taking art classes from Earl Rogers of Mariposa. First painting with oils, then after a few years I began working with graphite and Prismo colored pencil. Today I work with pastels.

Art is my passion. There is so much in this world that can be captured with color. I love using bright colors and feel my work shows that love of color in abundance. In the beginning most of my work were florals, but today landscapes and Yosemite scenes have captured my creativity. With pastels, color is endless and immediate, which allows me to draw, paint and create with no limits. I mainly work from photographs and/or a combination of photos and imagination.
