Dorothy was born in Mississippi and moved to Phoenix, AZ. when she was a sophomore in high school. After marriage and two children she moved to California and then to Hong Kong where she spent over ten years.

She says, "Over my life I tried many crafts but became bored after a few years. At age 70 I found the one that gave me the most enjoyment--creating original jewelry. Designing is a constant challenge I look forward to every day and while I regret giving up my creations I am rewarded with the knowledge that someone will be wearing a "one of a kind" piece of art."
