Cathy was born and raised in Mariposa. She is married to a wonderful man and has enjoyed twenty-eight years of happiness with him. Cathy has one daughter and one grandson.

She is a self taught artist and has taken no formal instructions or classes. As is immediately apparent with one glance at Cathy's work, however, she breathtakingly captures Native American and animal life. Cathy has learned to work with her eyes and listen with her heart.
